Absolutely. Renting a slightly larger unit and splitting the monthly cost with one or two trusted roommates is one of the most cost-effective ways to store your dorm belongings for the summer. Just designate one primary person to be the leaseholder on the account.
Storage near campuses, such as Kaimuki book up very quickly in late April and early May as finals approach. WE recommend reserving your unit at least 3 to 4 weeks before your official move-out date to guarantee you get the size you need?

You can store many different household items including (but are not limited to) furniture, appliances, electronics, clothes, sporting equipment. However, there are some exceptions such as anything dangerous, illegal, or perishable. You CANNOT store (but are not limited to): food, drugs, animals, plants, non-working vehicles, or anything thats flammable or combustible.

Our rental agreement requires sme type of protection plan to safeguard your valuables in the event of an unforseen circumstance. Hawai'i Self Storage offers a protection plan specifically designed for storage, that includes a $0 deductable. All claims are handed locally. Tenants have the option to opt-in to our protection plan or select their own plan, however they must submit a copy of their certificate of liability or insurance addendum.
Hawai'i Self Storage offers flexible month to month rental terms. No long term commitments are required, we only require a 30 day move out notice. So if your plans change over the summer, you can always extend your rental.
No, we make this process as convenient as possible. Our staff will meet you curbside at a desginated time to load the items, they will transport, load locker, lock unit and secure with a non-access tag. When students return, simply call to arrange dropoff and our staff will deliver back items curbside at their dorms.
